Living Worlds is a free, AI-powered text RPG where you create a world and play within it in your own words. Speak to characters, explore unfamiliar places, take risks, build relationships, or enjoy a quiet moment between adventures. Your choices shape the unfolding story.

Built from more than two years of playing and refining this style of adventure, Living Worlds adds persistent campaign memory, a world journal and optional RPG mechanics to help long-running stories stay connected.

Requirements: Internet access and an eligible ChatGPT PAID account are required for AI narration (anything but free works). Account access and usage limits apply; the free download does not include AI credits or unlimited generation. Campaigns save locally, while story context is sent to the AI service to generate responses.

Features include:

• Custom worlds and characters: choose your setting, beginnings, tone, and preferences, then add your own details.
• Freeform roleplaying: write what you say, do or attempt instead of selecting preset choices.
• Persistent memory: keep track of recorded characters, discoveries, relationships and commitments.
• Optional RPG mechanics: resources, attributes, abilities, conditions, inventory, money, experience and levels.
• World journal: browse discovered people, places, factions, lore and mysteries, with rumors distinguished from witnessed events.
• Notes and bookmarks: preserve memorable scenes and personal theories separately from story facts.
• Recaps and epilogues: revisit your current situation or reflect on your journey.
• Alternate paths: return to a saved scene and explore another choice while preserving the original adventure.
• Shareable templates and campaign exports: share your starting world or back up your complete story.
• Phone browser preview: play over trusted home Wi-Fi while your computer hosts the adventure.

Living Worlds is an early preview. AI can still make mistakes, and feedback is welcome.
